Student Engagement & Housing
The Office of Student Engagement and Housing believes that living on campus is the best way to experience college life — create great memories, make lifelong friends, and live steps away from classes. We provide three residential settings for our students: Marguerite Hall, the 222 Apartments, and Madonna Hall. Through our Residential Curriculum, we aid in the holistic development of students to further their independence and growth outside of the classroom.

Wellness Lodge
D'Youville's on-site counseling center is located on the 3rd floor of the Koessler Administration Building (KAB). The on-site counseling center is located within the Wellness Lodge, and all services are available to students as needed. How do I check my transfer credits?
You can review your transfer credits and degree audit on dyouville.transfer.degree. Students will receive an official degree audit after admission.
If I attend DYU, what tuition and fees will I pay?
If admitted, students will pay the exact same tuition and fees as they have been at Medaille University.
What is the StudentReady program and do I qualify?
The StudentReady program equips new students with the tools needed to succeed in the classroom. Medaille Mavericks who transfer to D’Youville are automatically eligible for these programs - explore BookReady, TechReady, and MetaReady to learn more details!
BookReady
The BookReady program was created to help save students money and time. Incoming Medaille Students will be opted into this program to have the cost of their books covered for the first year; both incoming undergraduate and graduate students.
TechReady
The TechReady program allows for all first-year students to receive a FREE laptop to keep forever. Incoming Medaille Students will be opted into this program; both incoming undergraduate and graduate students.
MetaReady
Incoming Medaille University students will be opted into the TechReady program and receive a Free Oculus VR headset. The headset will offer various developmental experiences through the Office of Student Development and Advocacy.
I am an international student; what type of aid is available to me?
International students pay the same price as domestic students and are eligible for competitive merit scholarships as well.
I was offered HEOP for fall 2023 or am student at Medaille, can I attend D’Youville’s HEOP Program?

Does D’Youville accept Say Yes?
Yes, D’Youville offers unlimited say yes seats. Update your Say Yes application on the Say Yes website and contact admissions@dyc.edu for further instructions.
Am I eligible for D’Youville combined or sequential degree programs?
Yes, if admitted, with the exception of the Physician Assistant program. Please see a comprehensive list of programs here: https://www.dyu.edu/academics/degrees-programs.
I do not see my specific program listed, what can I study?
D'Youville University offers a number of exciting degrees that focus on serving society while advancing your upward mobility. Additionally, D’Youville offers a Bachelor of Professional Studies. This program is only for students who have 60 transfer credits or more and is flexible enough that you can still complete a bachelor's degree in a reasonable amount of time. Your dedicated DYU admissions counselor can help you further navigate this question.
I have almost completed my degree program at Medaille, but D’Youville University does not currently offer it. Is it possible to complete a bachelor’s degree?
D’Youville offers a Bachelor of Professional Studies. This program is only for students who have 60 transfer credits or more and is flexible enough that you can still complete a bachelor's degree in a reasonable amount of time.
Will my financial aid package transfer?
Our financial aid office will assist you with completing your FAFSA and ensuring you are provided with a competitive aid package.
I'm a student-athlete. Can I compete at D’Youville University?
D'Youville University is proud to be a part of NCAA Division II athletics. Am I guaranteed housing at D’Youville University?
Yes! Although housing is not required for students transferring into the university, D’Youville will guarantee that any student who wishes to live on campus can do so. In fact, we encourage you to live on campus so that you can really experience what it’s like to be a Saint! Additionally, The Office of Student Engagement & Housing is committed to housing you with your Maverick peers if you'd like or we can match you with a new D'Youville connection.
What mental health services does D'Youville University offer students?
All D'Youville Saints have access to our Wellness Lodge on campus which combines in-person mental health counseling with holistic services such as yoga, sound therapy, aroma therapy, and light therapy. This ensures that you are supported as a whole person. Additionally, all students have access to SaintsCare which offers monthly scheduled sessions with a licensed provider, unlimited access to 24/7 crisis support with licensed providers, and unlimited access to health coaching.

Do you really have dogs on campus!?
Yes! Saint and Maggie are the D’Youville University mascots and work on campus every day as emotional support dogs for our community. As the first real service animal to exist, the St. Bernard is built for this sort of role, and they absolutely love it. They’re pretty cute too...even if they are drooly.
