Biography
As an alumna of D'Youville University School of Pharmacy, Dr. O’Leary is committed to giving back to the institution that played a crucial role in shaping her future. Whether through mentorship, volunteering, or teaching, she is determined to help the next generation of pharmacists achieve their goals. She obtained her post-graduate year one and post-graduate year two Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency Certificate from the Veterans Affairs in Buffalo, New York. During her time in residency, she became a Certified Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Pharmacist and obtained a teaching certificate through the University of Buffalo. With a strong foundation in academia and hands-on research experience, she transitioned into a clinical assistant professor after finishing her clinical residency training.
Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of contributing to numerous research projects, some of which have had a meaningful impact on the understanding of critical scientific questions. These contributions include publications and presentations at national conferences. Her career in research has been a rewarding and fulfilling journey, driven by an insatiable curiosity and a passion for advancing knowledge. She looks forward to mentoring the next generation of researchers, as collaborating with students and colleagues has been a source of inspiration for her and a way for her to give back to the research community.
