Biography
David L. Broder, D.O., is a board-certified internist and previously practiced primary care medicine on New York’s Long Island.
Dr. Broder has served as Vice-Speaker of the American Osteopathic Association’s House of Delegates since his first election in 2014. Prior to that he served the AOA as their parliamentarian. He has been appointed to numerous committees and councils of the AOA. He has been an AOA delegate, representing New York, for over 30 years. He is a 2022 recipient of an AOA Presidential Citation.
He is a Past President of the New York State Osteopathic Medical Society. He continues to serve as their parliamentarian and on several committees.
Dr. Broder is an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at NYITCOM in Old Westbury. For almost 30 years, he served as their Associate Dean for Postdoctoral Education and President of their GME consortium, NYCOMEC. He was responsible for over 100 residencies and fellowships, as well as continuing medical education.
After earning his osteopathic medical degree from NYITCOM, Dr. Broder completed a rotating internship and medicine residency at the New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn. He is a graduate of the inaugural class of the Osteopathic Heritage Health Policy Fellowship. Dr. Broder received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Rochester.
Dr. Broder is a prolific speaker and has spoken at colleges, medical schools, hospitals, and conferences. In his free time, he can often be found hiking in one of New York’s many parks.
