Biography
Dr. Aboujaoude joined the D’Youville University School of Pharmacy as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacy Practice in February 2024. After obtaining her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2014 from the Lebanese American University in Beirut, Lebanon, and working for a few years at a local hospital there, she went on to pursue a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Ascension Via Christi Hospitals in Wichita, KS, followed by a PGY2 in Medication-Use Safety and Policy Residency at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, 2020.
Her passion for research and academia continued throughout her career where she contributed to numerous research projects, in addition to publications and presentations at national conferences. During her role as the director of a Drug Information Center in New Jersey, Dr. Aboujaoude implemented new initiatives and experiences, promoted team building and mentorship, and grew tremendously as a leader. She mentored and precepted pharmacy students, residents and industry fellows within the practice of drug information and medication safety, and eventually transitioned the Drug Information residency program which she previously directed into the ASHP-accredited PGY2 Medication-Use Safety and Policy program.
During her time at D’Youville University, Dr. Aboujaoude strives to deliver the highest quality of academics and participate in research with faculty and students. She has a range of professional interests including drug information and literature evaluation, medication safety, clinical informatics, and managing high risk populations including pediatrics and oncology.
