Biography

Dr. Russell is a Clinical Assistant Professor within the Department of Pharmacy Practice at D’Youville University School of Pharmacy as well as proud alumna. She obtained her Pharm.D. from D’Youville University in 2023 and a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biochemistry from SUNY Oswego in 2019. She then went on to complete a PGY-1 community-based pharmacy residency at Vital Pharmacy in Buffalo, NY, which now serves as her practice site. She is currently leading an initiative to enroll patients at high risk of readmission into an adherence packaging program. During residency, she received her academic teaching certificate from D’Youville University. She holds strong interests in the management and business aspects of pharmacy, as well as behavioral health and ambulatory care with a focus in diabetes. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of pharmacists.

Research Interests

Dr. Russell’s research interests include social determinants of health and expanding access to mental health medications in the community.
