Biography
Dr. Beccari joined the D’Youville University School of Pharmacy as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice in 2019, and he became the Director of Experiential Education in 2021. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2017. Following graduation, he completed PGY1 Pharmacy Residency training at Buffalo General Medical Center in Buffalo, NY and PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency training at SUNY Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, NY.
Dr. Beccari is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and an HIV Certified Pharmacist (AAHIVP). He is a member of the Rho Chi National Pharmacy Honor Society, Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID), and American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). He serves as a member of the SUNY Erie Community College School of Dental Hygiene Advisory Board and a member of the Clinical Support Services (CSS) Health Residency Advisory Board. He also serves as a faculty liaison for the D’Youville Chapter of the Student College of Clinical Pharmacy (SCCP). In addition, he is the developer and director of The Clinical Practice, Scholarship, Teaching, and Leadership Development (ACHIEVE) Certificate Program, which provides students the opportunity to further develop the skills necessary to obtain and succeed in a residency or fellowship program.
Dr. Beccari has a range of professional interests relating to infectious diseases, including antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). He has produced multiple publications and has presented his research at several scientific meetings.
