Biography

Dr. Ruh, a proud Western New Yorker, brings a rich legacy of medical service and education to D’Youville University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. A graduate of Canisius High School, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Amherst College before completing his medical degree at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine. Following a residency in Family Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident, Dr. Ruh joined his father’s private practice in 1993, dedicating over three decades to patient care and community service.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ruh has played a pivotal role in shaping the future of medicine. As a Clinical Faculty Member at the University at Buffalo, he has educated pre-medical, medical, allied health, and resident students, while contributing to health system leadership, clinical program development, research, and administration. His unwavering commitment to education and community health underscores his impact as both a clinician and mentor, inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals.
