D'Youville University Named Finalist for the 2024 WNY's Healthiest Employers Awards

D'Youville University is proud to announce its selection as a finalist for the WNY's Healthiest Employers Award. This recognition highlights the university's commitment to fostering a healthy and supportive work environment for its faculty and staff. 

The WNY's Healthiest Employers Award acknowledges organizations that prioritize employee well-being through wellness initiatives, and a culture that encourages a healthy lifestyle. The finalists were selected in a process coordinated by Springbuk, a health analytics firm that researches corporate wellness trends.

The university has been committed to maintaining a healthy work-life balance, with a switch over two years ago to a 32-hour work week-with no reduction in pay or benefits. Employees are also able to take advantage of our fitness facility, pickleball intramurals, a full range of Chiropractic services offered by our students, and regular blood-pressure screenings by the Nursing department. Additionally, they can attend the community cooking classes offered by D'Lish Demonstration Kitchen, as well as many of the classes, like “Movement Lab” offered by Thrive Rehabilitation & Wellness Center. Both can be found in the Health Professions Hub. 

D'Youville University will compete against other finalists in its category for the top honor. The final winners will be announced at an awards ceremony later this year.
