D’Youville University continues to grow its commitment to Diversity, EQUITY, Inclusion, and Belonging.

Remaining true to the teachings of our Patroness, St. Marguerite d’Youville, we seek to selflessly and compassionately contribute to humanity by improving the lives of individuals and society through education. D’Youville University was founded to extend a hand to those in need and equip them, through education, with the skills necessary to change the world.

Beginning in Fall 2022, the Diversity, EQUITY, Inclusion, and Belonging initiative will be embedded as part of Mission Integration.

DEIB is a campus wide initiative – including staff, faculty, and students – to have open discussion through Lunch & Learns, speakers, and recognition events. The committee coordinating this initiative is charged with reviewing all institutional policies, rolling out DEIB trainings, thoughtfully embedding supports for all, and ensuring equitable opportunities for members of the campus community. We welcome the talents, perspectives, and creativity of each individual at our campus – remotely and in-person, as we recognize each lived experience creates a better community. We are focused on identifying obstacles and collaborating to remove barriers to EQUITY and support the full growth of our D’Youville members.

Bias Review Committee

D’Youville considers reports of bias to be very serious in nature. Systems and processes are in place to handle these incidents and D’Youville fully executes those processes. If you – as a student, employee, or community member – report an incident of suspected or known bias to someone at D’Youville, we will enact certain steps immediately.

The best thing that you can do is to document and report incidents using the link below so that D’Youville may investigate and make appropriate decisions keeping in mind the safety and security of our entire campus population and the sanctity of our learning environment and the wonderfully diverse population we serve.

The Cultural Enrichment Center

Located on the second floor of the Koessler Administration Building, the center is the home base for marginalized students. This space is always evolving with the needs of our students and holds a myriad of programs and events throughout the academic year.
