FREE 8-WEEK SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER SUPPORT SPECIALIST CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
Interested In a Career as an Addictions Recovery Peer Advocate or Recovery Coach?
Are you looking for an opportunity to obtain knowledge and experience working in the behavioral health field?
Want to be a part of a healthcare team serving those with substance use disorders?
This program applies to the educational training for partial fulfillment to become a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) or Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) through the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Providers of New York State (www.asapnys.org).
Participants will receive:
- Convenient online (via Zoom) education: Monday - Thursday (9:00am - 4:00pm), with exception of simulation and shadowing days.
- 4 days (Thursdays) of in-person simulation training at the Health Professions Hub on the D'Youville University campus.
- 2 Weeks of first-hand shadowing experience at partnering professional agencies.
