A grant is a financial aid award that does not need to be repaid.

Grants are given to students who demonstrate financial need and are based on your FAFSA. Below is a list of the grants available at D'Youville.

FEDERAL GRANTS

Federal Pell Grant

The largest federal student grant program.

Eligibility

Undergraduate students without a previous bachelor's degree who demonstrate high financial need.

Amount

Awards range up to $6,895 for 2022-2023. Application: FAFSA

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)

Eligibility

Undergraduate students without a previous bachelor's degree who demonstrate exceptionally high financial need.

Amount

Varies depending on availability of funds.

Deadline

February 15 for incoming students; April 15 for enrolled students.

STATE GRANTS

Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) Grant

Eligibility

Undergraduate students who are New York State residents attending college in New York State. Applicants must be a full-time student in good academic standing, working toward a degree or certificate. Applications for TAP Grant are in addition to FASFA.

Amount

Awards range from $500 to $5,665 per year (2022-2023). Deadline: May 1.

Aid For Part-time Study (APTS) Grant

Undergraduate students who are New York State residents attending college on a part-time basis (less than 12 hours) in New York State.

Amount

Varies depending on availability of funds. Deadline: End of the drop/add period each semester.
