D'Youville University Offers Free Degrees for Select Programs

Buffalo, NY – D’Youville University has announced that it is a part of a groundbreaking New York State initiative, the Career Pathways Training (CPT) Program, which offers eligible students the opportunity to earn a degree for free. The CPT Program is a workforce investment under the New York Health Equity Reform 1115 Waiver to strengthen the healthcare workforce. This innovative program aims to alleviate the financial burden of higher education and equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in high-demand healthcare careers. 

How it Works: The CPT Program provides funding to cover tuition, textbooks, supplies, and other fees for eligible students. To qualify, individuals must be pursuing careers in specific healthcare fields and meet certain eligibility criteria. 

Eligible Programs and Start Dates: 

January 2025:  

  • Family Nurse Practitioner 
  • Nurse Practitioner 
  • RN-BSN 
  • Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor 
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician

May 2025:  

  • Accelerated Nursing 
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor 

August 2025:  

  • Physician Assistant 
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor 
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician 

To be eligible for the Spring 2025 funding, interested individuals must complete the application process before the semester begins.
