What you'll learn:

  • Ethics, Health, and Human Spirit emphasizes ethical reasoning, the ethical impact of health policy, and the spiritual dimensions of human well-being.
  • Health and the Arts emphasizes artistic representations of the human body, health and illness, artistic engagement with environments and related experiences.
  • Society, Health, and Behavior emphasizes the historical and political dimensions that can affect health and individual wellbeing, as well as behavioral determinants of health, with an emphasis on diversity and equity.

Courses & Curriculum

In the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Health Humanities program you'll learn in traditional humanities courses in fine arts, social sciences, history, and more. You'll begin to discover the health subjects that most interest you and where you fit into the healthcare field as you explore topics, programs, and careers in healthcare. Your advisor will work with you to tailor a learning experience that meets your academic needs and lets you build towards your career passions.

Admission Requirements

At D'Youville, we are committed to selecting students who are academically well-rounded and committed to meeting the challenges of a high-quality education. If you have been successful in a traditional college preparatory program in high school, you should be well-prepared for the academic challenges at D'Youville.

First Time in College Student Requirements:
  • Submitted application for admission
  • Official high school transcripts
    • An overall weighted GPA of 80 with successful completion of high school graduation requirements and four years of math, history, english, and science.
Transfer Admission Required Review Criteria
  • Submitted application for admission
    • Applications are free of charge and can be found on our apply webpage.
  • Official transcripts from ALL previously attended colleges/universities
  • Cumulative GPA of 2
