Christine Demcie
Director
Christine returned to D’Youville as Director, Career and Professional Engagement, after previously serving as Director, Career Services from 2010 – 2017. She completed a M.S degree in Student Personnel Administration from State University of New York (SUNY) College and a B.A degree from Brock University, Ontario, Canada. Her recent professional career has focused on career services & career storytelling both on a college campus and in private practice. Christine considers herself a lifelong learner and has additional professional interest in instructional design & digital media and is looking to incorporate these methods & tools into delivering outstanding career services to the campus. Helping students and alumni find “what’s next” in their academic and professional career life is her passion.
Christine is always finding new hobbies to pursue, but enjoys hiking, in-line skating, cooking/baking, and fancies herself a fledgling, but aspiring writer/storyteller.
Olivia Aleman-Lidstrom
Employer Outreach and Internship Coordinator
Olivia graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, where her primary areas of study were Psychology, Art, and Family Studies. The following year, she received her Master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Psychology: Prevention and Treatment from the University of Washington. During her educational journey, Olivia developed a strong interest in providing individuals with quality care and support, whether in a clinical setting or a school environment. Olivia strives to create environments where lifelong learning is encouraged, individualization is celebrated, and empathy is fostered.
Outside of work, Olivia enjoys reading, watching movies, and taking her cat on walks. Although originally from Southern California, Olivia loves the snow and considers winter the best time of the year!
