D’Youville and St. Mary’s Offer Free Health Fair
Buffalo, New York – April 16, 2012 – D'Youville College and St. Mary's School for the Deaf will hold a Health Fair on Thursday, May 3 from noon to 4:00 p.m. at St. Mary's at 2253 Main Street, corner of Dewey Avenue.
There will be blood pressure screening, information on diabetes, nutrition, depression, socialization, bullying and dental health. Glucose and cholesterol checks using "finger sticks" will be offered.
D'Youville nursing, pharmacy and chiropractic students will be on hand to answer any questions and provide information to those attending. The UB Smile Team will provide dental information and representatives from Big Tree Chiropractic, Buffalo Athletic Club, Catholic Health System, Deaf Adult Services, Health Connection, Tea Leafs, and Tuscany on Main will be there.
A poster board display will present health information on a variety of topics.
The Health Fair is free and open to the public.
