D’Youville Alumni Honored for Outstanding Contributions to Health Care in Western New York

D'Youville University is proud to announce that three distinguished alumni—Marjorie Quint-Bouzid, Dr. Theresa Hurd, and Dr. Matthew Veronica—have been recognized by Buffalo Business First for their outstanding achievements and significant contributions to the healthcare sector in Western New York. These awards highlight individuals who are making a transformative impact on healthcare delivery and patient care across the region.
Marjorie Quint-Bouzid, ‘85, BSN, DPA, RN, NEA-BC, serves as the Chief Nurse Executive for Kaleida Health, where she oversees nursing operations across the organization. Her visionary leadership in nursing ensures that Kaleida Health delivers top-tier care to the community and fosters a culture of excellence in patient services.
Dr. Theresa Hurd, ’04, ‘19, PhD, MScN, CCRN, ACNP, RN, Vice President of Clinical Education, Research, and Professional Practice at Catholic Health, is recognized for her exceptional work in shaping clinical education and advancing research. Her dedication to improving healthcare practices through evidence-based research and professional development has had a profound effect on healthcare professionals and patients alike.
Dr. Matthew Veronica, ‘12, PT, DPT, CSCS, a physical therapist and co-owner of Ethos Performance & Pelvic PT, is being honored for his innovative approach to physical therapy and his commitment to improving the quality of life for patients with specialized needs. His work in strength and conditioning and performance therapy has set new standards for patient-centered care in physical therapy.
