D’Youville President Clemo and Campus Community Condemn Pittsburgh Synagogue Attack

Dear Students, Faculty, Staff, Alumni and Friends of D’Youville,

The D'Youville community extends it's love to those affected by the senseless violence at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh.

After yesterday’s horrific shooting, we at D’Youville stand united with those of other religions, to be free from acts of hate and intimidation. There is no room for hate on our campus, in Buffalo, in our nation, or the world.

We strongly condemn any act of terror at a place of worship, be it in the United States or elsewhere in the world. D'Youville, a college in the Catholic tradition, welcomes and respects those from all faiths and backgrounds, abhorring intolerance, division, and violence.

As a compassionate and caring community, we will keep the victims and those wounded, along with their family and friends in our prayers and work with those to ensure acts like these do not happen again.

Lorrie Clemo, Ph.D.

President

D’Youville College
