Veteran’s Family Day at Lothlorien Riding Center

Buffalo, New York – April 3, 2012 – The D'Youville College Office of Veterans Services and the Lothlorien Therapeutic Riding Center are sponsoring a Veteran's Family Day titled "Horses for Heroes" on Sunday April 22.

The special event, for veterans and their families, will be held at the Lothlorien Therapeutic Riding Center, 15 Reiter Road in East Aurora from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Guests can learn about the "Horses for Heroes Program, the benefits of equine assisted activities, meet the staff and horses and discuss financial aid opportunities.

There will be a demonstration of how to shoe a horse and everyone's favorite mounted sheriff, Lieutenant Wayne Wolf of the Erie County Sherriff's Mounted Unit and his horse will be there.

There will be pony rides, a pony parade, clowns, food, giveaways and more.
